Bighorn Moving and Storage in Kelowna has always been passionate about giving back to our local community, so when the opportunity to support The YMCA’s annual Cycle For Strong Kids event came up, we were thrilled to be a part of it.

The YMCA of Southern Interior BC is hosting its 17th Cycle For Strong Kids in June 2024. Cycle for Strong Kids is more than just a cycling event; it is more than a fundraiser. It's the very essence of our community's strength in unity and determination. This year's goal is to raise enough funds to provide over 1,300 local vulnerable children and youth with equal access and opportunities to succeed and be part of a community where they learn, grow, and thrive within the welcoming embrace of the Y. 

This year, the Bighorn Moving Kelowna team has risen to the occasion of sponsoring the event. Our incredible crew will be in charge of moving, loading, and unloading all the biking equipment, seating arrangements such as tables and chairs, signage, water, swag bags, tents, popcorn machines (we don’t know about you, but we can’t ever say no to popcorn), and NHL street hockey equipment. We are honoured to be lifelines for low-income children and at-risk youth. Funds go far beyond raising heart rates; they directly contribute to equal access to essential services such as free or subsidized child care, school enrichment programs, water safety lessons, camps, and crucial mental health resources for youth.

It's safe to say we’ve got our hands full and couldn’t be happier to support a cause that ​​leads to impactful change within our community!
